Fidera.

Your screenshots are holding your passwords.

Fidera finds the passwords, codes and ID numbers sitting in your camera roll, and shows you how to clear them out. It scans on your phone. Your photos never leave it.

Reserve a founding year for $8

What it looks for

Passwords
Wi-Fi, bank, streaming, and the note you made so you wouldn't forget.
2FA codes
The six digits a site texts you to sign in.
ID numbers
Social Security, passport and driver's license numbers.
Card and bank numbers
Checked against the math every real card and routing number follows, so a phone number or an order number doesn't count.
Crypto recovery phrases
The 12 or 24 words that open a wallet. Whoever has them has the money.
Developer keys
AWS, GitHub, Stripe, OpenAI and about thirty more.

What Delete actually does on an iPhone

Deleting a photo doesn't erase it. iPhone moves it to Recently Deleted for 30 days, and it stays in iCloud Photos until then. Fidera says so every time, and has a button that opens Photos so you can clear it out of Recently Deleted.

Hide it saves a clean copy with the secret blacked out of the pixels, then deletes the original. An edit in Photos can be undone with one tap, so Fidera doesn't use one.

Leave it is for the screenshot you meant to save. Fidera won't mention it again, and you can change your mind in Settings.

Found means a person should look. Fixed means you hid it, deleted it, or chose to leave it.

After Yes. The app says where a deleted photo goes before you choose.

Free, and Fidera Plus

The screenshot scanner is free. All of it.

Fidera Plus adds two things. It tells you when your email shows up in a new breach, and it shows you exactly where to change the password for that account. $8 a month or $72 a year.

The founding year

Payment is handled by Stripe. See the pre-order terms.

Questions

Does Fidera upload my photos?
No. The reading happens on your iPhone, with Apple's own text recognition. Fidera keeps a one-way fingerprint of what it found and a few words around it, never the secret itself.
What does it need access to?
Your photo library, so it can read screenshots. It only changes a photo when you tap Hide it or Delete it, and iPhone asks you to confirm.
Android?
iPhone first.
Who makes it?
Eli Appelbaum, in Gainesville, Florida. Write to hello@tryfidera.com and he reads it.
