The app

Fidera reads your screenshots on your iPhone. Your photos are never uploaded, and the text it reads is never sent anywhere. For each thing it finds, Fidera stores, on your phone only, the type of finding, where it sits in the image, a one-way fingerprint (SHA-256) of the value, and up to ten characters of text before it. It never stores the secret itself.

Fidera changes a photo only when you tap Hide it or Delete it, and iPhone asks you to confirm. Deleted photos go to Recently Deleted, where iPhone keeps them for 30 days.

The free app has no account and no analytics. Fidera Plus, when it launches, checks your email address against public breach records. That feature will be described here in full before it ships.

This website and the pre-order

The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. If you pre-order, Stripe processes the payment and gives us your email address, your name and the amount. We use your email only to tell you about your pre-order and the launch, and to send a refund if you ask for one. Stripe's handling of your card is covered by Stripe's privacy policy; we never see your card number.

We don't sell or share your information with anyone else.
